Disciplined Breakdown

Disciplined Breakdown is the third studio album by American post-grunge band Collective Soul. It was first released on March 11, 1997. The album was recorded during a difficult time in the band's career, when they were going through a long lawsuit with their former management, and they also recorded the album in a cabin-like studio due to lack of money.

Despite not being as successful as their past albums, Disciplined Breakdown earned Collective Soul a million-selling album (charting at #16), and produced a couple of hits, in the form of "Precious Declaration" (#1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks for four weeks) and "Listen" (#1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks for five weeks), which also charted on the Billboard Hot 100, at #65 and #72, respectively.

"Maybe" is a pop song written by Allan Flynn and Frank Madden and published in 1935.

Recordings in 1940

The first version to chart was recorded on June 11, 1940 by the Ink Spots featuring Bill Kenny and released by Decca Records as catalog number 3258B, with the flip side "Whispering Grass". The recording reached #2 on the chart that year. The Ink Spots' version of the song was also used as the opening theme for the first game of the Fallout franchise.

Another charting version was recorded by Dinah Shore on June 25, 1940, and released by Bluebird Records as catalog number 10793, with the flip side "The Nearness of You". This version reached #17 on the charts.

Bobby Byrne and his orchestra also charted with the song that year, reaching #19. His version was recorded on July 19, 1940, with a vocal by Jimmy Palmer, and released by Decca as catalog number 3392A. The flip side was "One Look at You".

A recording by the Sammy Kaye orchestra, with Tommy Ryan as vocalist, was recorded on May 31, 1940 and released by Victor as catalog number 26643. The flip side was "Blueberry Hill".

Maybe (Teyana Taylor song)

"Maybe" is the lead single from American singer Teyana Taylor's major label debut album, VII. The track features guest verses by American rappers Pusha T and Yo Gotti.

Background

The song was premiered on June 16, 2014 by Teyana as she announced the release date of her album. It was also featured on Now That's What I Call Music! 51 as a "Now What's Next" bonus track.

Cai (state)

Cài (Chinese: 蔡; Old Chinese: *s.r̥ˁat-s kʷˁək) was an ancient Chinese state established at the beginning of the Zhou dynasty, rising to prominence during the Spring and Autumn Period, and destroyed early in the Warring States period.

History

Following his overthrow of the Shang king Zhou, King Wu of Zhou granted titles and territories to his younger brothers. The fifth brother, Cai Shu Du, was enfeoffed at present-day Shangcai (lit. "Upper Cai") in Henan. During the Three Guards Rebellion, he attempted to usurp the Duke of Zhou's position as regent to the young king and his defeat meant his deposition and exile.

Du's son Ji Hu, however, proved a loyal and capable ambassador for Cheng and the Duke of Zhou, and they rewarded him with the reëstablishment of his father's territory and title, which he was able to pass on to his own son, Ji Huang.

As the Chinese peerage developed, Cai was initially considered a county and then elevated to a march; it was never able, however, to become a duchy or kingdom in its own right. Invasions from Chu during the Spring and Autumn Period relocated Cai several times, first to Xincai (lit. "New Cai") in 531 BC and later to Xiacai (lit. "Lower Cai") at present-day Fengtai in Anhui. In 447 BC, King Hui of Chu conquered Cai completely, but allowed the marquesses to settle near Changde in Hunan and establish a rump state called Gaocai (lit. "Great Cai"). This was destroyed 80 years later.

Caio Ribeiro

Caio Ribeiro Decoussau (born 16 August 1975 in São Paulo) is a retired Brazilian football player nicknamed Caio, who played in Brazil with São Paulo, Santos, Flamengo, Fluminense, Gremio and Botafogo, in Italy with Internazionale joining for a World Record fee of £6.6m for a teenager at the time and Napoli, and in Germany with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, as well as with the Brazil national team.

He participated at the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship, winning the Golden Ball.

He holds dual Brazilian and Italian nationality.

Since January 2008, Caio works as a sportscaster for Brazilian network Rede Globo television.

Calcium iodide

Calcium iodide (chemical formula CaI₂) is the ionic compound of calcium and iodine. This colourless deliquescent solid is a salt that is highly soluble in water. Its properties are similar to those for related salts, such as calcium chloride. It is used in photography. It is also used in cat food as a source of iodine.

Henri Moissan first isolated pure calcium in 1898 by reducing calcium iodide with pure sodium metal:

Calcium iodide can be formed by treating calcium carbonate, calcium oxide, or calcium hydroxide with hydroiodic acid:

Calcium iodide slowly reacts with oxygen and carbon dioxide in the air, liberating iodine, which is responsible for the faint yellow color of impure samples.

Black

Black is the darkest color, the result of the absence of or complete absorption of light. It is the opposite of white (the combined spectrum of color or light).
